Meet Susan

Susan Myers
Global Policy Advisor
Prior to joining 196 as a Global Policy Advisor, Susan worked for the United Nations Foundation for 19 years, first as Legislative Director for its Better World Campaign, then as Executive Director and Senior Vice President of the UN Foundation in New York City where she built and managed UNF’s presence and oversaw the management of the Foundation’s unique relationship with the UN as a platform for connecting people, ideas and resources to support the UN in global problem-solving.
Susan has worked with leaders from the UN, government, the private sector, civil society and academia, spearheading a number of initiatives to drive global progress and solutions including on the Sustainable Development Goals.
Susan’s role at 196 involves providing strategic advice on overall opportunities and advising clients on their strategies around multilateral engagement and the Sustainable Development Goals. In addition to 196, Susan is currently serving as Senior Advisor for Advocacy and Engagement for the UN World Food Programme and as a Strategic Adviser to Goal 17 Partners.
She has served on a number of boards including the Ban Ki-Moon Centre for Global Citizens and the U.S. Global Leadership Coalition, and is also involved in her local community both as a volunteer and an avid cyclist.
